What's with all the love the GMC Syclone is getting around here? Don't get me wrong these were awesome trucks in their day and I'd love to own one, but it's gotten to the point I can't swing a dead cat around here without finding a Syclone/Typhoon article.
I think one of the Syclone's direct descendants deserves a little credit too. The Dodge Ram SRT10 pickup from 2004-2006, which was not only available with a 510hp V-10 but also with a 6spd. manual. IN A PICKUP!! It was guzzled gas, it was fast and it was absolutely over-the-top ridiculous.
Here's a link to Car and Driver's original article on the truck, a rather funny faux war of words between John Phillips and the great Brock Yates.

It's my fault. I started it. Sorry. Well, actually I'm not sorry.
In all seriousness, it's probably because Matt Farah drove one on the last episode of Tuned. That truck was awesome.

I don't have any use for a real pickup truck, so a pickup truck with a Viper motor is fine by me.

The only thing I like that the SRT10 has over a lightning, is the 6spd manual...
otherwise, lightning all day long
I have had many internal conflicts with myself, debating if I should sell my bronco for a lightning or not. To bad they are useless in weather.

Everytime I think "I can't believe they put a Viper motor in a truck", I then remember seeing the Tomahawk.

Definitely on my list of "completely stupid s*** I need if I win the lotto".
