When messaged asking "when will payment be sent?" After multiple hours passing of not paying. FML.

What is it, 10 days to start a non-pay case? Do that.

It's two days. I know how to deal with these situations but this literally happens so often it's insane. It's a 3 to 1 ratio, with the three being the Non-payers, and the 1 being the paying buyers.

I like the buy it now, immediate payment method. No tire kickers.

I've been using method that works awesome:
Set a Buy It Now around the price you want/what its worth, then allow offers. If they use the BIN option, demand immediate payment in the settings. I think that option applies to the offers as well, so when you accept an offer, they have to pay right away.
I haven't had a deadbeat or slow payer in a long time.

I think I'm going to have to start doing this because it's getting absurd. Thanks for the tip :)

Tell him to send $ or eat it. Open an unpaid item case after a week and a half or so. And then ban the deadbeat from bidding on it.
I usually spell out "you have ten days to pay after the end" in my listings somewhere.

UPI case is open, I just got sick of this and relisted it with buy it now or best offer only (which you can set immediate payment which is what I'm gonna start doing), and sold it for 20 dollars more than this buyer bought it for. Still no response from this buyer. Can't wait to nail them with the unpaid item case.

Heh, yeah. I'd rather still do auctions for most items, though, but it's getting so bad that I might have to start using the "buyer restrictions." No feedback, no bid.
