They grayed me back out. Hopefully now I won't be receiving constant inflammatory responses. But it also goes to show how they handle opinions they don't like. At least I was courteous and polite.

Good on ya for not letting them get to you. Most Gawker media sites are filled with arrogant, self-entitled and shouty dirtbags who can't fathom that someone's opinion can be different to theirs and equally (or more) valid. There's little point to discussion with them.

The rest of the Gawkerdom is trash. Gawker and Jez is so full of extremism in their respective positions that it's not worth offering a differing viewpoint. I'm a right leaning independent and I've learned to just stay away from trying to give my opinion on Gawker. They're so Uruk of themselves they refuse to see any other views.

I engage in hostile discussions as long as it amuses me to do so. When evidence for one view or the other starts flying around, I leave when the other party starts cherry-picking because then I know I've won and anybody with half a brain who cares enough to read through it all will be able to form his or her own conclusion.
