Our janitorial crew (who employs not a single hot lady to pose on the hood of a Ferarri) left us a note last night of some items needed.
Its sad, my 8yo spells better, and my 5yo would probably get more words correct than they did.

Papper, haha. I'm calling it that from now on.
This happened to me the other day at work.
Guy: How do you spell "want"?
Me: w-a-n-t
Guy: (while looking at papper)Heh, I don't know how I got what I wrote.

Northern México is were my tongue was molded. Thanks to great American TV shows like Married with Children and movies like Ace Ventura 2, English came to me real quick without a hint of any type of accent. Now it's my wife's turn, she is from Mexico DF and will be coming to the US very soon once all the paperwork BS comes in. TV, movies, and I guess YouTube will be her teacher.

I suppose it be asking too much of you to teach her. I figure your mouth is usually busy doing other things.

lol well yeah :]
The best way is through TV,movies, interwebz. The visual aspect and situation when the words are being said/memorized is key. If I make you repeat the work milk or write it down it will not stick as good compared to seeing someone at the store buying milk and literally seeing the word and the situation. It's hard to explain but that's how it helps best. She's young, she'll learn :] The accent will stick with her though. I can't understand my fellow countrymen sometimes over the phone. Hell, not that most of my spanish is gone, they don't understand me over there lol.
