I'm looking to buy this bumper (exact one pictured) off this girl on instagram of all places. My dad, of course, doesn't like it ("man why not just keep it stock and original" because it looks better and I like working on my car, dad, lol), but as long as I pay for it and put it on myself he'll let me get it. It's $280 with shipping, and then I'll have to get it painted. I can afford the bumper myself (once I do a couple things for dosh) but it'll take a while for me to afford to get it painted, but still, it's awesome. Hopefully she won't sell it before tomorrow.

TRD replica, or Trout Mask Replica?

turd replica

Looks pretty good, not to aggressive but doesn't look aftermarket.
Do it!

I know, that's why I love it. It's not ricey or "look at me" at all, it looks clean and has just the right amount of mean-ness to look awesome.

That bumper is more commonly called the Legana bumper, its a standard Toyota part, not TRD at all.

I always told myself this would be the only bumper I would switch to if I ever did. In the long run, I'm glad I stuck with the low-profile stock look. This is the only bumper that makes the IS look like a different car or high performance model where others just look like crap aftermarket bumpers.

I like stock, but this looks nice too. A bit odd w/out the logo, but definitely nice looking for aftermarket. Bumper won't go bad waiting for paint money either.

..she cute? why's she selling it?

The grill is separate, the female that owns that car just has a mesh grill, while depending on how it looks, I'd probably just keep my stock grill.

Probably needs money. She was selling this or her stock bumper, so I would assume cash if she just needed to get rid of one. And yes actually she is cute http://instagram.com/meg_is_xe10

one of the few TRD kits that actually look any good.
They look fantastic on a white car.

Mine's black. White IS300s look amazing.

It doesn't look like a TRD Neo replica bumper, it looks like an L-Tuned bumper because it's sporting sidemarkers. The TRD is shorter and requires a new front crash-bar. If it's an L-Tuned replica, ask if it's from AIT, as their fitment is spot-on. Aside from that, it looks awesome and hope to have either an L-Tuned or L-sportline bumper myself.

I agree. I am just wanting to stand out a bit from the like 3 other black IS300s that live around me haha.

Well the L-tuned looks similar to the TRD, doesn't it? I see your point though. The TRD ones have a cut out place for the front plate as well, right?
![]() 02/03/2014 at 17:31 |

Yeah, it also has a middle support bar that looks hideous.

Oh, shows how much I know about the front of an IS.

Black would look good too... I'd probably paint the lip a dark grey and the rest of the bumper body colour. Bonus rice points for carbon fibre wrap.
I've always wanted one but the manual IS300's never made it to Australia.

Mine's an auto :V
I couldn't find any manuals that weren't beat to hell

paint it yourself with spray paint, you can always have it painted correctly later :D

Here's an idea, just vinyl wrap it black or even plasti dip and gloss it after you buy it. Cheap way to get it onto the car with it being black and looking decently good. Save up until you can actually paint it and then just remove wrap/dip.

Some dude just quoted me a pretty good price on the painting though (he had to compete with some other people so he gave me a great price) and I'll probably just do that

Well
maybe.

I bought their millenium silver metallic (1C0) can, and it didn't match. They did refund me every single penny immediately, but still.

It's the Legana in the UK/Aus, TRD NEO in Japan, and L-Tuned in North America.

vs a grand for a real one?

The japanese name is actually Neo Customize Sports. Still nothing to do with TRD.
