Getting a 20 year old carb'd bike started without resorting to jumper cables +1
riding 60 miles in slush, sand, salt spray and an unexpected snow squall +1
dropping the bike at 2mph on glare ice in an unplowed gas station parking lot -1.

yeaaa, i had that issue when i wAs taking my sv to school (high school) was about march, took it out, stopped in a parking lot to double check my bag.
yes, it was the full fairing model
no, i didnt have a GOOD set of frame sliders
yes, i learned my lesson. the had the best sliders they make for the sv on it now
yes, i'm still riding around with a gear selector consisting of a bolt through the arm XD

luckily the F650 has built-in sliders/bash bars and I think you could probably use either the shifter or the brake pedal as safe points to anchor to when dropping the bike off a bridge by a bungee cord...

well, i used mine for getting to and from school, getting yelled at by teachers, and doing 'spirted' riding. so sports tourer for me!
