Me and my mother talked it over and... Er, how should I put this..? Even if she meant it, it just felt hollow because what's the use? I feel like a dead man walking anyways but in the end, I'll keep walking forward.

chin up buddy. grab a tub of ice cream, and go watch a good movie. I know that its a lot harder then just writing it down here, i've a bout with depression too. honestly, listen to some decent music, and day dream a little. picture urself in the car of ur dreams, hauling it around a road or something, banging the gears off in time with the music.

i know it sounds silly. but it worked for me. might work for you too

Honestly it sounds like you and your family are going through a very stressful time. People say stuff they don't mean to say when they are trying to deflect attention from themselves. The best thing you can do is to try to keep a line of communication open between you and your family. Shitty shit gets said in shitty times. You need to decide if you want to work through the shit or get dragged down in it. I realize that is complete oversimplification of your situation but just look at what I have said. I isn't worth giving up, just prove to the world you are stronger and better than what they think of you. Life isn't easy and it takes hard work to make a good one, but when you do succeed it will be a sweet victory over all those who have doubted you.

the bullshit adage of life and lemons making lemonade and all that shit. . .

I don't know you personally but it does seem like you have stuff you need to work out. There are outlets if you need it and I'm sure there are a few of us on Oppo that are willing to talk with you if you need it. I'm sure more than a few of us have been in a similar situation to yours.

Hopefully you can get through this rough time and be able to look back on it in a few years and see how far you have grown.
