Just a reminder that tonight is one of the single worst nights in terms of drunk drivers. I know y'all are for the most part pretty responsible, but make sure to have a DD BEFORE the party. NEVER EVER drink and drive. For everyone that will drive tonight, make sure to keep your head on a swivel, especially at intersections, and for wrong-way drivers. I'm only twenty-fucking-one and have already lost 2 too many friends to drunk drivers. Let's make sure the New Year is a happy one, Oppo!

yeah I have lost a few myself. I did laugh last night when a friend of mine said he was staying home with his wife. His reasoning:
"I am afraid to drive then because there are so many amateur part-time drunks on the roads who do not have the advantage of my experience."

Haha, that's a great excuse! I live in a town with a party school, so we have to deal with a lot of "newbie" drinkers, especially at the beginning of the academic year.

oh yeah, I remember those days at UCONN, I never drank and drove there, but I would be blunted out of my head and driving slow and extra cautious. I used to deliver calzones there too and late at night it was amazing some of the crap I saw go on.

Good advice. I'm not a drinker anyway, and my wife and I never do anything for NYE regardless. But I'm glad I am safe at home just the same. People don't pay attention on the roads as is. Adding alcohol to the mix just makes it worse.

I know of 2 people who have lost loved ones and one person who was the drunk driver who killed someone. It is a completely bullshit thing to happen, due to it being 100% preventable. There are 2 people who I will no longer associate myself with because of how they brag about how much and often they dui.
On a lighter note.
