Apparently there's a kit to turn your NA miata to a 2000GT.
This is madness. I love it.

Needs a 2ZZ swap!

NA's seem to be the automotive Ditto, right up there with W30 MR2s and Fieros
Still though, damn that's a gorgeous kit

Can't ... process ... NO. The Toyota is magic, and the Miata is perfect so why screw with it? No.

Well, sort of. There's also a Jag XK120 kit for Miata if i remember correctly.

I agree with Hondas. 1UZ FTW!

No idea. 2000GT on a budget?

Dunno - just for me, replicas are wrong.

The conversion appears to cost around $24,000, not including the base car. Not bad, I guess, considering it does seem to be quality work.
The downside is that, like with all kit cars, you would have to spend your life having to explain to everyone that it isn't the real thing.

Well, if i own one of those i'll put a Mazda badge and pretend it's a Mazda.

You're both wrong.

You're Wrong.

That's probably the way to go. It is a Mazda, just with attractive custom coachwork that recalls a classic Toyota. I mean, people didn't stuck Murphy emblems on the front of their Duesenbergs.

Except, just like the original 2000GT, the 2ZZ-GE was also built in conjunction with Yamaha.

There's no one in that car

Yeah.
To be honest i think that's how you do a proper retro-styled car. Old stylings, with modern internals and handlings and Reliability.

People can hate me if they want, but I love that this exists. Sure, MX-5/Miata/whatevers are awesome...but come on! Have some fun with it!
