What does having voice recognition or a radio have to do with being "sporty" or the abysmal dietary habits of many Americans?
It's not like having to press a button on the center stack rather than the steering wheel makes any difference in fitness, weight loss, or vehicle driving performance.

Jetta is a smaller car and making it less of a PITA for larger people (not necessarily fat) opens the door to better sales.
Try getting out of a '69 Vette with the manual steering "bus driver" wheel.

Hah, gotcha. I actually have that steering wheel in my car, it's probably meant to be sporty. I do like it and it is helpful getting 6'5" me in the car.
