She lives in the heart of the city and they're seeing super bright lights that move, stay stationary, or both in the sky. The lights soon fade away after a minute or so. 100% opposite of any kind of airplane because of their change of direction and ability to stop. In this 25 million population town, regular stars and meteor showers are difficult to see. These are brighter than airplane lights and are popping up ever couple of minutes for the last hour throughout the sky. My father in law is looking for his really good camera to try and record them. He confirmed me that they are nothing he has seen before. I will post them as soon as I can. Ovnis? It wouldn't the first. This town has many counts of this since the time of the Aztecs. I hope someone captures them really good on camera.

i told my father in law that, he extremely doubts it. Unless they can go a couple miles behind some skyscrapers then make it to the other side of the sky holding that bright of a light.

8 meteor within an hour is rare on its own right? It is odd they the would move, then stop, then move again. Must just be a change in direction while colliding with the atmosphere

The Geminid meteor showers were two weeks ago, but at peak there's over 200/hr I wanna say. Could be a small meteor shower.

I've seen meteors streak across the sky and then appear to stop as they finally burn out.
*shrug* maybe the aliens are manipulating the meteors.
