It's the Lincoln's Chinese cousin, the Hongqi CA7460. But this is not a chinese rip off it was built under license from Lincoln by the FAW auto group.

It would have to be, anyway, the Town Car wasn't designed to fit anything else, including a manual transmission.

They were assembled from CKD kits manufactured by Ford, with FAW sourcing only the Red Flag-specific parts locally, so other than a few minor changes, they are basically identical to US-market Town Cars.
Given Chinese preference for large/LWB cars, I was always kind of surprised more of an effort wasn't made to push the Panther cars there. The Crown Victoria was really popular in the Middle East, but that's the only region outside North America that Ford ever really explored for it.

If it wouldn't be so dirty and the lights were clear and it had all its hubcaps it would look pretty decent but try finding high quality pics of a car that shouldn't almost doesn't exist is not as easy as it sounds.

by the looks of it it might need more than that do bring these lights back.
You almost need one of these to take off the first layer of haze.

looking for specs on a '79 town car on wikipidea is what lead me to this discovery. You find the weirdest shit when you are not even looking for it.
