That my grandmother and my uncle have the same car?

makes sense to me.
you need 2 VW's - 1 to drive while the other is being repaired!
;)
LOL!

No, it's good. If when one breaks, there is parts interchangeability.

Nope, but what is it? I see a VW badge, but I don't recognise the car.

This is one of the reasons why silver VWs are the most stolen cars in Brazil. They're the best selling cars. People buy them because "They are easier to maintain and hold better value".
Does one of them have the I-Motion gearbox? You've got to try that.
You're in Brazil now? Where, specifically?

VW Voyage. It's the sedan version of the Gol, a brazilian designed and built model for third world countries. You can get these pretty much anywhere in South America, no idea if they're available anywhere else though...

Ahh.. I should've known.. I was thinking Fox.. but couldn't find a 4 door version. We don't get the Gol here in Europe (nor the Fox), but I'd love to own one :)

Ribeirão Preto. I was in Campinas for a couple days before this.

Well, it's nothing to write home about actually :p
There have been some sweet versions in the past, like when VW found themselves with a surplus of GTI badges and created a Gol to wear them, instead of just tacking them onto a base model along with some stripes hahaha....

Are the interiors the same color, too?
![]() 12/23/2014 at 08:12 |

Let's hope not, as I also have the same car as myself...

Well.. VW do Brasil will always have a place in my heart.. they DID make the SP2.

Yes, but different seats are installed. Engines are different too.

Damn! I was in Ribeirão Preto during Summer once. It was... nice:

25 years ago, it was known as the Fox in other markets, my father owned one throughout the 90s.

You own 18% of functioning Sedicivalvoles.

Scorching hot, but still awesome.

Ahh.. So I wasn't that far off then. I once owned a MK1 Jetta, that'd be close to what was called fox in some places I guess.

Africa.

Yup.
Any plans to go to São Paulo?
![]() 12/23/2014 at 08:46 |

Not as far as I know, but I may visit Sorocaba.

Hahaha, there's a good chance it's even more than that. And I already know where to find a third one in running order...

Since when did you have more than 1?
![]() 12/23/2014 at 09:20 |

Although VWs have been the most reliable cars we've had, I agree.

I believe it was based off of the Jetta I, same way the Santana and Quantum are off of the Passat.
![]() 12/23/2014 at 09:56 |

We had the Santana here actually.. awesome cars (Ugly as hell, but awesome)

Since about two weeks ago :p
I found the second one on a garage close to my parents' place, the owner wanted 3000 for it, and just the tires are Worth that price already, as they're brand new.

Does one of it have the "Eco Power" 1.0l?
I am intrigued by that engine, since in Mexico we only get the robust 1.6.
![]() 12/23/2014 at 10:40 |
|
Yes. One has the 1.0, the other has the 1.6. Guess who drives the 1.6.
![]() 12/23/2014 at 10:43 |

That's cheap. I wouldn't mind one in Canada for the summer.

Grandmother!
