Just saw this beauty on my way home from O'Reillys.

I can't say this generation looks good with stripes. They just don't fit it now.

I agree completely, Also the spoiler looks out of place

3 spots, 90 seconds. Lol, I was using my headlights as external lighting for the photos

Wouldn't it work best with the light source behind the camera?
![]() 12/21/2014 at 17:36 |

really...

I dare you to go 5 posts without a photo/drawing/mention of your Ranger.

there's so much "surfacing" to the body work... it becomes too busy.

Wow! A Ranger! Oh, and an Accord coupe I guess.

It was for this photo:
I've done it many times before, it usually turns out really good. Like this one for instance was lit with headlights:

I was driving my ranger. What do you expect me to do? Buy another car so it doesn't show up in the background of photos?

Oooh, a Herald!
![]() 12/21/2014 at 18:00 |

ah, got it
![]() 12/21/2014 at 18:04 |

And it lives walking distance to me!

They must have been sold in America at some stage because that one doesn't have any rear indicators, something still legal there for reasons unknown.

I am trying not to make so many posts about it, but I daily drive the thing so it's going to show up in the background of the things. I can't help that

I'm not sure I would use this as a full stop on stripes with this generation. I definitely agree with this color and two stripes right down the middle not working, but one off center in another color might look good.

i smell trolls.
Nice pictures. Have you noticed that the 50 years edition has chrome around its tail lights and the normal one doesnt?
I like the taillights better without the chrome. But i prlefer how the faux gas cap of the 50 yrs looks instead of a lonely GT or a horse.

I know, this wasnt even a post about my ranger. I was using a photography technique that Ive used many times before that required me to have my headlights on and pointed at the subject. That angle just happened to be a good angle. Im an Artist, sue me.
About the taillights, yes I love everything about the 50th anniversary edition except the chrome around the taillights. I really love the grille insert.

i had forgotten about the grille. Its really cool too.
About the ranger. Before you told me about the lighting, i thought you did it to be funny which for me it was.
That you didnt post about the ranger. But its still present.

No, I actually love using headlights as photography spotlights. It always turns out so warm, I mean look at this one:
Lit with headlights

Nice. And no shadows because you are in the middle of the lights

Exactly, if done right it can be gorgeous. In the mustang photo, It was just a little dusky, the sun was behind me and I needed some extra lighting so the photo wouldnt be too grainy. Thats why I parked so far away.

(((Whoah , long comment ahead)))
And what camera were you using? An ipotato or your Nikon (you have a nikon right)?
Also what would you say to the owner if he suddenly showed up? Hah i guess it would be kind of awkward. At least in my books. One time you know what happened.....I was with my dad and we went for something to the mall, he had a manual Audi A5 (it was sweet to drive) When we came back to the car. There was a 40's woman grabbing the handle of our car. As if she was going to get in. And her husband/lover was taking pictures of her.
I cant remember what happened afterwards. What was said. They werent gear heads. They seem to like the luxury and "prestige" of owning an audi

I dont carry my Nikon with me, I was using my iPhone 6. It has a banging little camera, not as good as my nikon but certainly worthy of some great photos, like this one for instance I took with it and it is unedited:
Ive actually had the owner of a car come out while I was photographing it. I just explained to him that I was an artist and I showed him some of my photos, he was pretty impressed. We talked for a good 5 minutes about photography

In that case, that wouldn't be awkward.
Its nice that current phones have a good camera so you can capture moments where you arent prepared with a pro camera. I remeber those old phone videos that were so pixelated, you could barely understand the video. Back in 2007.

I used an iPhone 2G until 2012, I remember very vividly. That thing couldnt even take video natively. I jailbroke mine to do so, but it was shitty, the video was always choppy. the frame-rate was crap
