On the upside, this situation is so anime rom-com that you're almost certainly the central couple of the show. There'll be much back-and-forth, a boatload of misunderstandings, and one or two anguished declarations of love... But eventually, you'll make it.
(Note: I by no means intend to trivialise your situation by comparing it to the plot of a rom-com—I finished marathoning a rom-com anime less than half an hour ago, and that all jumped into my head the second I read your post.)
