New responsibilities at work means a heavy set of keys that have to go on my keychain. I open the grocery store I work at at 6am, 5 days a week. I can't afford to accidentally forget the keys at home, and putting them on my car keys is the only guaranteed way to make sure that doesn't happen.
These keys are like brass or sumthin', each one is as heavy as or heavier than my car key and there's six of them.

I don't have a handy dandy hook next to my ignition.

take the car key off the biner and leave the rest on your pants. easy peasy.

Can't get to work without the car key, so on my car key is the only way to make sure I don't lose or forget them. I don't exactly function well at 5am.

well no, I do the same thing, you have a separate car key, keep them all together until you drive...then take off the car key to drive and leave the rest clipped to you....then clip the car key back on when you are done.

The fuck, man! I hope you don't do that to your rally cars. I'd hate to see it turn off on you while sideways in a corner!

That's why I've got the carabiner. I take off the set I need and keep the rest in my pocket. Also at the time I was babysitting a few extra cars, so I had extra keys.
