Hmm. I never liked/wanted one of these, but there is no ignoring the potential value of this thing.

Itd be a good beater, seeing as it has the wrong transmission and engine the value would have to come from a well done swap but its definitely a good candidate for one

Way too much rust, automatic and not an Initial D mobile.

What's the difference between this one and the cartoon one?

Being a non-op automatic SR5, it basically only has value as a shell... Somebody with a wrecked GT-S or any kind of motor/trans combo lying around should pick this up.

What makes one of these jdm? Is it something special or is it the usual roof racks, stance, zip ties and plastic rain gaurds?

Different body style completely.

It looks pretty similar to me based off what I remeber about it, but I'll take your word for it.

I think the initial D car is the hatchback whereas this is the notchback.

Eww, an SR5 notchback. That's only a half-step up from an AE85, the "Super Turtle Machine".
Since it's an SR5 notch, it doesn't have the drift tax though.
Nice Price.

It's a notchback, not a liftback like the Initial D AE86. However, that should mean it's better balanced.
