One down, too many to go. I know there are a few Boilermakers out here on Oppo.

That's awesome, all of my emails were like one like of text:
"Yeah, you got in, or whatever. So yeah."

Congrats

That was my reaction. I'm not very expressive.

I hope "many to go" includes other, better BigTen schools, such as Illinois.

I was thinking about it... But I didn't. Georgia Tech is big 10 right?

Nah, they're ACC.
Also, you should really apply to UIUC. It's not like you're going to need that $50, anyway.

If there are so many boiler makers, where are the boilers?

Why would he go to UIUC if GT is an option?

I'm at Georgia Tech, also got accepted to Purdue. Both will be the right choice.

He might not want to go to school in downtown ATL.

Because he's allergic to bees.
Also because it's better.

Congrats! I'll be up there next weekend to attend a friend's gradutation. Purdue sent me a big poster when I got in "thedevilinside is now a Boilermaker!" I grew up one, but then ended up not becoming one.

GT is higher on my list than Purdue.

I had no idea where I wanted to go and parents wouldn't take me to visit GT until I got accepted. Lots of confidence. Lol. My final 3 came down to GT, Purdue, and Western Michigan(had other reasons I wanted to go there.) Congrats on the acceptance again, you already have one great option.

Maybe he's not scared of brown people?

The Fighting Illini men's tennis team is ranked 11th, nationally. Neither Purdue, nor GT's tennis teams are ranked.

I'm not going to be playing D1. I'm good at tennis, but I'm not that good.

That has nothing to do with it. Traffic, heat, high expenses, etc.

Yeah, but you like to watch tennis.
You ain't seen a tennis match 'till you've seen an Illinois tennis match, son.

Congrats! However, as someone who got into GA Tech and Purdue (but did/does not attend either), the real question of where you end up will likely boil (pun intended) down to cost!
