I went to pickup a Pizza Pie at Papa Johns for lunch and spotted this awesome truck outside. An old orange Chevy C20 WITH A MANUAL!!! it was virtually rust free and appeared in real good shape. Kudos to the owner for driving this year round like it's supposed to be.

Actually, with no A/C, it may only get driven fall-spring. I've seen a bunch of classics in this town that wait until late fall to appear for some reason. Still, though - good that it's still active.

The mainly rust free part is the surprising bit.

I agree but remember these were made out of heavier steel and they don't salt the roads here so it's not uncommon to see rust free old cars.
Look at my 323 for example it's a 93 and there is literally not a spec of rust on it.

It's only really hot here in Northern Alberta about 2 weeks a year. the rest of the times if you open a window it's quite tolerable.

Plus, with a classic truck, you have the dearly departed option of vent windows.

ah yes I miss those.

If the cheapest truck in America in *1960* had them, car makers are royally effing up by not having them now. This is A Thing That Is Crap.

Squeee!
Sorry. I love seeing C20s in the wild. :)
However...shouldn't that be three on the tree?

I know I was there the skull is on a stick that goes right to the floor. if you expand the picture you will see it.

That's what I'm saying. Like if I expand it as much as my phone allows. Should. Not. Be. There. Trying to decide if I'm too cold to run outside and take a picture. And find my son's keys.

Shudder. Picture will have to wait. Did go out to take a picture. Something moved inside. I noped out of there. He can figure it out when I'm at work tomorrow. Luckily there was no one nearby to hear me scream.

Shudder. I was in the truck! It moved a box. Detached garage. One lightbulb in the back of the garage. Nighttime.
If my son dechritters his truck I'll take a picture.
Hmm. Sending my husband in to make sure nothing gnawed it's way into my triumph when I'm at work tomorrow. My triumph is parked next to my son's truck in the garage.
