So, I went to glamor shots once...
And had a portrait taken to give to my mom for Christmas. I think it was 1995.
From the look on her face when she opened it, I could tell that she had no plans on hanging it up. I was right. I never saw it again.
That is, until a few years later when she gave it back to me and said, "Please get this out of my house."
It now hangs in our laundry room. Merry Christmas.
I had wallet sized photos made too. I believe Mrs McMike (who I started dating a year or so after this was taken) had one on her fridge.
Her mom saw it and asked if her daughter was 100% sure she was dating a straight man.

Lol, awesome post.
We all have these things in our past, but some of our mothers leave don't give them back. They stay on the wall, in the living room, over the fireplace.....

And who says disco is dead? Dat collar! Here's me and Mrs. Ttyymmnn back in 1990, right after we married and moved to Houston. We went to Sears because they were offering a free 8x10, in hopes that we would order more. We didn't order more and just took our free picture. They were pissed. But seriously, I once had a mullet. I just didn't know that's what they were called. I cut it though, because it was too damned hot in Houston. I'm also much, much grayer now. And fatter.

Funny thing is, right after Xmas she put it away in the coat closet by the front door. When she handed it to me I asked where it had been.
She said, "This has been in the closet for three years"

The photographer had taken a bunch of shots, and at one point he had leave the room for a second. When he came back, I had taken my shirt off to take a few really awkward ones.
He definitely thought it was awkward.

That mullet is by far the best representation of: "Business in the front, Party int the back" You deserve an award, Sir.
