I won't be getting a caravan like this wonderful loon, but would be using it tow a small wooden trailer we have lying around for when I need to carry more stuff.
Although my braked towing capacity is 800kg so I could actually tow my parents folding caravan if I wanted to...

You could tow the caravan and be one of the people Jezza hates.

Haha I find it funny he complains about caravanners when the slow lanes of our motorways are filled with lorries restricted to roughly the same speeds. When we tow we just stick in the slow lane and nobody gets bothered.

Literally cannot fathom towing with such a small car, yet you people in Europeland do it all the time.

It's the same but a bit slower. You're limited to 60 either way so a bigger more powerful car doesn't change much.

You have an 1.3 Mulitjet => enough Torque
Diesel Panda are equipped with ventilated discs brakes at the front and disc at the rear, right ? => Braking is OK
Try to find a tow bar with removable "hook". I have one and it's practical : you let the hook in the trunk and installed it (2 bolts) only when you have to tow.

That setup has acceleration rivaling a tortoise.

Yeah I should have more than enough power for what I want to tow, I doubt I'd go near anything more than 500kg though. Mostly because multijets are known for wearing out clutches so I wouldnt want to speed that up.
I know I have vented discs but I've never looked at the rears, it does stop really well for a cheap car though.
I'll probably just go for whatever bar is cheapest to be honest, I'm not too worried about having a tow ball permenantly attached.

I've seen much slower cars towing too.

That probably doesn't help the life of the transmission, and etc.

That could work. One short ton (roughly) of capacity isn't all that bad.
But then one must remember a Panda is a far more usable thing than an F-150 in towns.

The Panda could probably fit in the bed of a LWB F150 haha.
Also I just double checked and the towing capacity is actually 900kg. Probably very optimistic but means I shouldn't have trouble with a decent sized loaded trailer.

It's because of the diesel. I bet that the petrol ones are allowed to tow less.

Or 50 or 55 in continental Europe.

I looked it up and the 800kg figure is for the petrol, the diesel can tow 900kg.

I don't see the problem, as long as you keep the towing vehicle in mind. Small car, small trailer. Big car, big trailer. Quite logical, really. It's perfectly safe, as long as you don't break the towing speed limit too much, load the trailer right and don't tow a trailer heavier than the tow weight limit set by the car manufacturer.

You could tow my car!

Haha apparently so. Not something I'd want to attempt though...
