The Dezer Collection has an even nicer, IZH-assembled 1982 model for sale at $11,000 - and I think there's has been on the market for at least a few years now, so they might be talked down.

The Moskvich would make for some awesome articles though. It's a piece of shit so it would constantly break down so we would get articles about that. Then all the weird conversations he would be having with Russian immigrants. Then trying to source replacement parts from Russia where they don't speak English.

I didn't think you could import cars from Cuba into the States.

Once it's here, I don't think that you can send it back. Also it's older than 25 years so I have no idea.

That car wasn't even worth $16,000 NEW. Even with the interior upgrade (yeah, that's definitely NOT original) and the better wheels, it's still not worth anywhere near that, even accounting for the nostalgia factor.

Is the embargo so loosened now that you can bring cars over? Also I doubt it came from Cuba, looks to be in way too good of a shape. Might've came from one of the former Soviet nations though. I am surprised how good that interior looks. Soviets used cheap plastic which warped like crazy when exposed to UV rays.

For Italy so loved communism that it sent its only boring car to be licensed and manufactured by the varied and sundry socialist regimes around the world.
