1.) Money
2) Money
3) They sponsored a film festival (gave money)
4) They made the Volvo 240 which has literally nothing to do with current cars but mentioning it more and more will help you ignore their love of ALL THINGS NEW AND VOLVO lol
5) This was really in Euros
6) Mate didn't really enjoy the Spa day ;)

Have you considered that Volvo is just that awesome?

ha; yea, look at how LUST WORTHY that line up is.
Two wagons: cool, I like those.
Four boring, beige, bland, middle of the road sedans that may have some benefits over an audi, or a buick, or a cadillac, or a bmw, but are really just the same in a sea of four doors.
Coupes! The c70 is.... a car...for....retired people? I dunno, it's weird.
C30...cool.
XC90, XC60 and XC70; XC70 is cool.....but it's a wagon ish, like the other two.
Ok, so out of 10 cars they make 4 good cars. 40%! WOW! That is amazing. three of those cars are....wagons...so really...just pick one.
Do they make a rear wheel drive sports car? NO.
Do they make a fun to drive sports car? No.
Do they have a high powered V8 car? No.
They are a middle of the road automaker, at best.
At worst, they are a boring European Buick.

False. Opel is a boring European Buick.

And volvo is somewhere in between....bland, ish. Like a vanilla donut with sprinnkles.

You can still get the R-Design models which provide some level of fun I'm sure 325 hp and AWD can't possibly be as bad as a Buick. Also, Polestar

Now do this assessment for GM.
![]() 12/09/2014 at 13:42 |

Right, they are a middle of the road automaker that kind of sort of makes a good car or two, maybe.

maybe later; don't want my readers to get drunk on raphmoe

A vanilla donut with sprinkles is a safe choice, just like a Volvo.
![]() 12/09/2014 at 13:45 |

how thoughtful of you, what if they want to get drunk?

But when was the last time Buick even tried to do something cool? They aren't aiming to make their cars death proof, they don't have something like an R-Design or Polestar, they aren't working on a 4 banger with more horsepower than an M3 , they haven't made anything exciting since the GNX. Volvo may not be the most excited brand ever, but they do exciting things and have some goals whereas Buick just seems to exist.

Exactly like a Toyota Camry, a safe, simple choice.
![]() 12/09/2014 at 13:47 |

then they can find other libations to enjoy; there are many sources of enjoyment in this world jbh.

I'd rather rock the new XC90 than most new SUVs as wheel, it's a hell of a lot better than some of the competition.
![]() 12/09/2014 at 13:48 |

they haven't; which is why I said that Volvo is bland with a tiny bit of excitement, dude, go back and read. please.
![]() 12/09/2014 at 13:49 |

lol ok
![]() 12/09/2014 at 13:53 |

Camry is a bagel. That should be obvious. An egg bagel.

Wait a minute, you still get the S40, V50 and C30? When did that happen?
