Your comment on Dan Gilbert is being kinja'd on my post so I'll reply here. Dan Gilbert was born in Detroit and grew up in Southfield. He started Rock Financial a while back. Intuit ended up buying him out and changed the name to Quicken Loans. Gilbert is still in power and the company grew huge, along the way he became a majority shareholder in thte Cleveland Cavilers. Recently hes made a massive investment into the revival of Detroit, moved the entire headquarters down there and has convinced many companies that wouldnt touch the city with a ten foot pole consider moving down there. I'm not sure exactly how many buildings he owns, but its at least 15 if I had to guess. And he buys another one every month or two.

Good for him. Hope he can continue saving buildings. Detroit has some spectacular ones. Thanks.
