That's an almost-decent screen replacement, though the keyframes need some work. Maybe stabilizing the video beforehand would have helped.

From the point of view of someone who's used linux almost exclusively for 4 years now, yes, it is the best.

it's supposed to take off.. for the last 15 years and it hasn't done so yet.
I'm all for open source software, but there are so many things I can't live without that are on OS X/Windows and not Linux. eg. Adobe suites, video editors, sound programs, etc.
For programmers and server stuff, I definitely get the appeal of Linux. But for peolpe who make a lot of art and media stuff? Nah.

I liked 98SE. . . I ran that bitch to the ground with all my reg hax and all that shit. My P!!! 666 MHz tower ran for years longer than it should've. . . I used to never shut that bitch down.

Right. I run two computers, one with Linux for coding stuff and then another for all of my suites. I've always thought that Linux was just designed for that sort of thing and that it wasn't supposed to be a mass appeal sort of thing because of its steep learning curve and that it does what's it's designed for really really well.
I also can't just have Linux because I like games.
