103k miles, AWD and Navigation. The seller is asking $6500. Plus, it's GREEN! My dad actually sent me this one and acted like he was interested in it just to get me going... Not cool dad...
Someone suggested this for the rarest normal car QOTD the other day. They said only 1600 were made.

Not bad. You can get one for under £2k in the UK though.

Isn't this the one that's basically a Mondeo? Something something reliability, something something what could possibly go wrong.

I don't understand why someone would buy a new car in the UK, given the huge depreciation and the wide availability of dirt cheap good quality used cars.

Nibbles does it again.

When new cars are so dear in the UK, how is this possible?

Me neither. You can lose £2k just driving a car off the forecourt. On average you lose 50% of value in 3 years.

I'm not in the UK, I wouldn't know. My hypothesis consists of multiple parts:
A. The (former) UK car industry. People in the UK just don't trust used cars due to the unreliable heritage of UK market cars.
B. There's relatively little export of used cars, resulting in an over saturated market. In continental Western Europe lots of used cars are exported to Eastern Europe, the Middle East or Africa, creating relative scarcity and high demand and thus higher prices. The UK has the steering wheel on the wrong side.
C. Materialism. How would your neighbors (or neighbo
u
rs in this case) see you if you don't have the latest and greatest vehicle?
I'm just guessing here. There are probably better reasons.

Yeah that sounds like a much safer bet

Drove a rental Altima from that era, not the Jag. Altima - boring, but most likely bulletproof.

If it's been around this long, it oughta work. Right?
