Ferrari 458 Speciale ….. who didn't see that coming? It should be the best drivers car.
The Golf R and i8 surprised me though. I never thought of the R being a drivers car, which I also why I'm surprised it is and the S1 is not. Why can't Audi seem to get that right? I've always been a fan of the i8, so its good to know its actually a good sports car, regardless of the drivetrain. BTU ya' done good.

Audi is more focused on comfort and refinement, that's probably why. I think it's all down to how they set up the suspension.

I think I would rather have the F-type even if I could afford any of the more expensive cars here. It just seems more usable and I doubt I would ever tire of the noise of the R coupes V8

I'm on the same page as you. I'm sure the Ferrari is phenomenal, but there is something about that Jaaaaggggg.

But its the sport model …. and you always hear reviewers complain about it. I just assumed VAG wasn't capable of making their small cars great drivers cars, but I was apparently wrong.

SO... COTY is an expensive version of an expensive car, which will be owned by only a handful of people, and driven as intended by only a handful of those? Yeah OK.
Is EVO competing with Time's Person of the Year for least relevant reward?

M3 is a "disappointment".

Damn, that is far down the list. M has lost some of their game.

The fact that it was wet, and the power delivery of the new engine isn't as linear as they've come to expect in M cars, played against it heavily.
Too much power for not enough tire, and somewhat unpredictable at the limit.
