So in order to keep annoying you and not be repetitive here is something I don't want, the Fiesta's smaller third world country cousin. The Ka, I hate plastic, the cheapness and awful feel. This car is made entirely out of it.
I loathe that thing with unbridled hatred.

That's right. But instead you should talk abut the things I want.

Ugh that interior. They do know that it's possible to have bright colours in a cheap car don't they? My car proves that...

What do you want?

I love that interior, is yours blue?

The placement of the USB port is seriously dumb. The cable that will be later connected to it will look like the umbilical cord of the dash.

All I want for Christmas is you

I like the old SportKA. I'm fairly indifferent to the Ka you posted, but I rather firmly dislike the current European/not wherever that is incarnation of the Ka, for doing a poor job of living up to the original.
It's just dull.

Yeah apart from the rear door cards that's identical to my interior. Oh and mine doesnt have rear head rests, you had to pay extra for those.

Apparently Ford thinks we still use this in 2015.

As does mine! (Bonus points for inexplicable leaf patterns!)

Blue interiors for the win.

It makes the silvery blue paint look blue-er, which I appreciate.

My roommate has taken to shouting BLUE! everytime he gets in my car because of how noticable it is. Yours is a little more subtle and grown up.
Also why are there lexus lights on that Polo?

I've always wondered if the second gen Ka is capable of a full blown Abarth conversion, since it's based on the Fiat 500.
That would probably help make up for some of it's downsides, at least mechanical-wise.

The SportKA is the only one I like, that and the StreetKA.

As I recall, your car is indeed extremely blue. Like, sky blue, if the sky were more blue. The blue I really want for my car is this one:
Though I'd accept the Saxo's rather tasteful shade, too:
The Lexus lights came with the Polo, and my friend has never gotten around to replacing them. I think they might've grown on him.

Why just settle for the blue? Pick up a 1.9 gti haha.
Fair enough, I never understood the whole lexus light thing but to each his own.

I called my insurance company to ask about just that, today, and they wouldn't even quote me. If I want to upgrade to something sportier right now, my options are, essentially, the old Fiesta Zetec-S, the SportKa, and the Saxo VTR. At best, I'd be able to stretch to a 306 XS.
It's rather strange, as just a few months ago, I'd at least been able to get quotes on some GTis. Insurance quotations are fickle, arcane, and utterly, utterly unfair. If any industry is in need of a serious regulatory overhaul, it's that one.
As for the lights, I'm not too keen on them either, but there you go. I do quite like these:

Strange. When I take into account the year no claims I'll have before I even consider changing out the Panda I can get a quote on pretty much everything. Maybe try other companies instead of the one you're already with?
![]() 12/01/2014 at 21:06 |

I plan to, but the thing is, my current company has historically given me the best quotes on pretty much everything. A relatively short amount of time ago, I could find quotes on 106 GTis, hovering around the £1500 mark. Now, nothing.

People put normal USB drives in after market stereo's.
These USB drives have the rope thingy to carry it on your neck.

I havent looked at insurance in a while actually so it might have gotten worse. I know I got a quote of 1200 ish on a 106 gti a few months ago.

That sounds about right, if you're a few years older than me. I've been driving for just over two years now, and I'm nineteen; I hear prices start to fall significantly once you hit 21.
![]() 12/01/2014 at 21:21 |

I'm only 20 and have a lot less no claims so there shouldnt be much difference.

Post code, maybe?

Considering a couple of years ago we found a stolen car torched at the end of our street I doubt my postcode is helping the prices haha.

I did a quick quote on a 106 GTi.

Here's mine with 1 years no claims (which I'll have in July) and otherwise the same settings as my current car. I pay £700 for this year on my Panda which started with no no claims.

not bad but you don't want to crash with an excess like that. I'm 23 that's fully comp with 6 years NCB.
![]() 12/02/2014 at 10:30 |

I have a huge excess on my Panda too. It was either pay £1100 and have a £250 excess or £700 and £750 excess. I'm only 20 and just got my first car at the end of July so prices arent fantastic. The Panda was the cheapest to insure I could find, even a 1 litre Micra was more.

I've been reasonably lucky with insurance, it's £580 for my 1.8 mx-5.

Not bad. When I was looking for first cars I priced an MX5 out of curiosity and it was £1600 with 0 no claims. Considered it for a while but I really needed more than two seats and better running costs.
