There might of been a full size truck hanging 2 feet over his space when he parked. They have a tendency to do that.

This is when I was leaving. When I parked next to him, the car in front of him was a civic sedan. It didn't seem like the civic parked over the line.

As some who drives a Crew cab long bed I can agree to this. I pull all the way through and as far forward as i can when i park and my rear end still hangs a couple feet into the spot behind me

Which is better than hanging out in the aisle. Only compacts should park in the space behind you though. Unfortunately almost no one is courteous anymore, or even thinks about these things.
