One of the Portland Cars and Coffee regulars had placed an order for a BMW i8 and it arrived just in time to bring out to this past weekend's Cars and Coffee. Even though the weather was typical Oregon autumn weather, he had no problems with it getting wet.
And yes, there were a couple of other cars that came out to play in the rain.

Nice. I bet that Noble is terrifying in the rain.

Indeed. Still, it was nice for two of them to come out nonetheless :)

Having seen one in person, I found myself really liking all of the aerodynamic lines and tricks that BMW snuck into the design. For me, I like it a lot more in person than in photos.

Sooooo cool. I love … er, badging like this. Very 90's.
Also that i8 tread(kick?) plate. IMO every car should have one, makes you feel that little bit cooler climbing in.
Edit: nice crop kinja

Yep, definitely a "what has been seen cannot be unseen" thing. Maybe it's BMW's (not so) subtle jab at Porsche? Probably not, but I'd like to think that it is :D

i find it to be a bit of a design flaw reguardless if it looks like a 911. it just doesn;t flow with the rest
