Not saying this is in my immediate future, but if some much more important things go smooth as duck butter early next year... it is almost 100% possible :]

For the sake of comparison, I spec'd a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! the way I want it but will most likely be in the $25k area because my wife will want the higher end SYNC infotainment system. But this is what will compete today in the Blue corner

As for the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , i'm am ok with something like this but there are plenty in the $25K area also with a little less miles. But again, this is what will compete today in the Red corner.

Focus ST pros:

A new fucking car! I've never owned a brand new car ever!

Warranty!!!

Maintenance plan!!!

Hella more practical

Turbo 4 actually has some huevos and drives very well (I've heard)

Better mpg's

If we are going to have beh behs, this would make more sense.

Corvette pros:

IT'S A FUCKING CORVETTE AAARRRHRHHRHRRGGGGHH!!!!

Both in manual of course.

NOTE: I've been a automotive technician for many years and I have the hook up on parts. Most of the cons for the Corvette will be of mechanical nature which do not apply to me. I can do any fucking job on any car.

Also, I will be selling my Audi A6 Avant QUATTRO so this vehicle will be my daily driver/only car.

I will leave it up to OPPO to list more pros, but also the cons for both. Me and my wife have settled that it will come between a new Focus ST or C6 Corvette. I have a bunch of very important and expensive things coming up very soon so I will not be in the market til the middle of next year. But after given the green light today, I have been psyched and want OPPO's opinion since you peeps are the raddest peeps!!!

Yes I know a G8, TrailBlazer SS, Jeep Cherokee SRT-8, Volvo S60, Lexus IS-350, Subaru WRX, CLK 55 AMG, and a whole bunch of other cars are also very good if not better choices, but we have chosen these :]

This gas mileage on the Corvette will be the biggest con for a DD, although I'm not totally sure exactly how bad they are on gas... Also, the Corvette isn't as practical as the Focus ST (for obvious reasons) so there's always that to put into the equation...

Biggest con on the Vette is insurance, other than thatm,

Corvette all the way! Mechanically the LS2 or 3 (depending on year) is a fantastic engine. Tough as nails and just a great all around performer.

If you need practicality with slightly better mileage get the Focus. They're both good cars. Really depends on the needs you have. Also being in Texas(?) I feel that the FWD vs. RWD doesn't matter because you don't get like 8 feet of snow.

CORVETTE!

RWD. V8. Targa tops. Sexiness. America.

To be serious for a moment the Corvette is a peach on the highway and they have been known to get 30mpg on the highway. One of my family members has one and they love it. I highly suggest this over a Focus. Life is too short for just 250hp.

Corvette, because life is too short for less-than-the-most-fun-you-can-afford cars. Plus, as someone who wants the best car I can have, I would never buy a new car. And depreciation! The Corvette community is awesome despite all of the pretentious stereotypes and Corvettes are great to drive.

tl;dr: drive both to figure out which one is better to drive and then buy the C6.

The interior is going to be a step down from your Audi though. Well, either will be but the Corvette to more of an extent. But who cares? Take the targa off on a nice day and listen to the LS2 (or LS3 if 2008+) howl.

How many Hawaiian shirts do you have? If lots, the Corvette is for you. If not, the FoST or FiST. I'd do one of the Fords, because kiddos. Kidding aside, the C6 is a hell of a car for the money. Hard to beat from a performance per dollar standpoint.

C6, every day. Easy choice. MPGs are extremely good on the freeway, its not too impractical, and you'll enjoy driving it. Its pretty damn reliable too. Not to mention, RWD > FWD, N/A V8 > Turbo 4, and 'Murica. The only downside I can see with the 'Vette is snow driving, assuming you have where you live.

I read this whole thing picturing a C5 and forgetting you live in Texas. So I was going to say ST. Then I remembered Texas and realized C6. Definitely C6. It is practical enough for now and will probably hold its value better than the Ford. So if you have beh behs you can sell the vette for much less loss and then buy something that will hold more than two people. Have fun while you can.

see that is a very good point, the loss in value will be way higher in the Ford than the Vette if i did have to sell it. Nothing says I can't ride the vette until the beh behs come later on. Spot on buddy

i've neven seen snow my entire life so i'm good on that. I know the vette isn't 100% impractical but the utility of my wagon has come in handy a lot. MPG's are not as bad as i thought. Lol and yes, the more Murica the better

Lucky you, wish I could say the same there. Well, yeah, the space is probably the one downside to the 'Vette. Compared to your wagon, though, the FoST won't have as much space either. It will be a lot better than the 'Vette, yes, but it will still be a downgrade. I just personally think the pros strongly outweigh the cons with the C6.

When stuck in traffic all day, handling characteristics are not really a factor. But I'm sure the dynamics of the ST and as good as a C6 which i've felt. Practicality is something i know very well also. I will review all of this when it is time. I'll make one last suggestion post linking this and then rock and roll.
