Saw one for the first time today, it looks peculiar.

honestly I didn't know the venza came with AWD.

My dad likes them, I find them too fat and boring.

It is not a bad crossover but when you see the price on the sticker you will probably run screaming (or fall over laughing, it is your choice).
The only time I have been in one was when my sister was looking at RAV4s and the sales guy used a Venza to compare, I'm not sure what he was thinking but I went with it.

I've always like the shape of the Venza. Beyond that I really can't comment. I've never sat in one or drove one.

The Venza is to the highlander as the Camry Solara is to the Camry

I don't hate how they looks, but they're a Camry under the skin I think.

Then again, I had forgot they existed entirely.

I like the doors.

That's a good comparison

Did some research (2 second wiki search) it is indeed based on the Camry

The rear looks ok, the rest not so much. I agree

I like them. I considered one as a college car when I came to Oklahoma since these have AWD and it's a Toyota. But I just remember it being REALLY wide.

I hate them because my neighbor drives one. One block away to the train station. It gets worse from there...

I like the rear, we don't have anything similar here. I looks too low be a CUV and to big to be anything else.

Interesting, what are its main competitors?

Didn't I came they AWD with or without Honestly know.

That is what puzzled me when I saw one, the proportions are really odd. It is too low to be a CUV, too small to be anything else yet quite wide.

YES. THIS. I AGREE. Like it looks weird now. And they just either have to commit to lowering it into wagon height or raising it to be X6 height to look good.
But nope, they just put it in the middle and you have no idea what it wants to be. And while I love the Limited, I love these LE wheels more.
Proportions look much better IMO.

I like to think of it as the Camry Station wagon that passes as a CUV
![]() 11/24/2014 at 12:31 |

I don't understand why they can't just make a wagon. The Venza wants to be one so bad, but it needs to be a contestant on World's Biggest Loser first.

Like an RX.

It would be a safe (reliable) choice, and it probably is pretty damn quick, but it would be boring.

Allegedly it competes with other such confused vehicles as the Murano, the Edge, and the Crosstour. To be honest I'm not sure why anybody buys any of these, if you are going to spend $40,000+ on something buy something that is less confused about what its supposed to be.

A Toyota Sienna had sex with a Toyota Highlander and this is the inbred baby.

I've always felt that the Matrix became the Venza when it grew up. It's not strictly true, but that's what it feels like. No manual, though, and with options it sure ain't cheap.
