On my Ranger I dont have a cabin filter, so even if I fix the AC gasket, My allergies might not go away. My AC and heat both work, so I think I'll leave them leave them alone for now. I think I'll just get one of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and hook it up to one of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! so I can still charge my phone. But Im going to a junkyard sometime soon to pick up a new power steering hose, How bad of an idea would it be for me to look at a wagoneer and take the steering wheel off. So I'd have this:

It could just be that the truck has never been cleaned or sat and got moldy.

Maybe, I'll clean it sometime this week and see. But the AC gasket has failed

Leave the steering wheel, not a great idea to try and replace it.

Cabin air filter for sure though.

You can give it a shot, but I'd say the reviews probably let the truth be told.

The reviews are kinda all over the place. But most of them say it works for allergies

Try it! It's pretty cheap, and you could probably return it if it doesn't work as you want it to.

If Ford still sells this stuff it works great to kill mold and mildew in the a/c system.

Hmmm

You need to import a Toyota Crown just like mine then. My car comes with an Air Purifier because some Japanese elites is only breathing purified air, you see.

I agree with crowmolly. Another thing you could do if you're feeling adventurous is take apart the dash and clean out all the vents and ducting if a thorough cleaning of the interior doesn't help.

Another idea that popped into my head. What if you put a small filter (either tie or tape) in front of the cabin air intake?

Remove the black cowl under the windshield. You should find the cabin air intake underneath it. Mine had this plastic grate over it, so I picked up a 10 pack of dryer vent filters at the hardware store for like $2 and made my own cabin air filter by cutting one to fit over the intake. You should be able to fashion something similar. Once you fix that gasket your cabin should stay nice and clean.

Above is what the first filter I put in looked like after six months of use.
