It was actually designed by a bloke called Satoru Nozaki. Goertz's only relation to the Toyota 2000GT project was his involvement with a Nissan sports car prototype built in collaboration with Yamaha, who after Nissan abandoned that project proposed Goertz's design to Toyota.
