The MUTT is totally washed in the water through out. Our guy was adamant he'll cross (he's a bit overly optimistic dude) and the poor bastard drowned. Cylinders, everything was filled with dirt water.

Pictured: a couple of guys thinking about the length of their friends' ... winch cable!
Good luck with the extraction.

We brought it back home the same day. The other folks in the group are prepared for every expected worst thing when that MUTT is coming along...
You won't believe but the guy was insisting that if someone would brought his tools from back home, he'll make it work again...he's persistent but fun.
He's used water to fill the the cylinders like its normal, in front of US. We still have no idea how it worked after taking in atleast a couple of water through where people usually, put oil in.

Just drain it, pull the spark plugs and turn over a couple times, run some fresh oil through and fire it up! Unless it's carb'd... then you may have some more work to do.

How? I don't get it..

When you hydrolock a gas engine, there is less chance of damage since the compression is lower and the engines are usually built pretty tough. plus you can just remove the plugs, crank out the water and you can get it going again. With a diesel, if it hydrolocks....ouch.

Ahan. I'll check with the vehicle if it starts up again after doing that. I didn't know that honestly.

Bummer. You do need to stop cranking at some point...
