The ATS-V Sedan looks better than the Coupe. Though that could be because of the color.
Hrrnggh. WANT.

I've got to agree with you there. The sedan looks way better.

I REALLY like this car in a sedan. Particularly in that blue...
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:43 |

That blue is beautiful .

That blue is gorgeous.

Sedan is better! I'm great for parents and businessmen.
Coupe is better! I reduce weight and look like a sports car.
STOP LOOKING AT ME, BOB LUTZ!

I'm not sure I've ever wanted a GM product more than this car. I mean maybe some Corvettes, but even then something about this seems more desirable.

Just like the M3 looks WAY Better than the M4
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:47 |

I agree I want it sooo bad in the blue as a Sedan. I was afraid it was only coming out as a Coupe when the pre-release images were all Coupes
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:47 |

That is a statement I can agree to, and I like a lot of GM products.
There might be one car that could take its position eventually: the new CTS-V.

The vette and this thing. Me want
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:48 |

Any clue how the rear seat space of the ATS compares with a 3-series (E90)?
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:48 |

I would've been legitimately shocked if it was coupe only.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:49 |

You're wrong, but I forgive you.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:49 |

This is true.
This looks WAY better than the M3 I think.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:49 |

I know I should probably care about this car... but I don't... It's not that I don't like it, I'm just indifferent to it.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:51 |

I just can't stand how blank the rear quarter panels on the coupe are.

CTS-V Wagon perhaps. Idk, I kind of like the smaller size of the ATS-V. It looks very squat and planted, like an M3 but without the douche factor. haha
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:53 |
|
and thank god it isn't.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:54 |

The only reason I might like the CTS more is because it'll have a V8 (not that the 3.6TT isn't a great engine, but V8 noise) and because I think the new CTS is one of the best looking cars sold today and the V treatment can only make it better.
Oh, you should've seen the argument from M3 owners who got all defensive when someone said basically what you said about it being an M3 minus the douche factor.

This angle... yes.
Throw some DTM styled wheels on it and call it a day!
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:54 |

Get behind the wheel of a regular ATS and the want for the ATS-V will be insurmountable.

If only CUE didn't still suck...
And all of the buttons weren't capacitive touch. That sucks for us in the snow belt where we like to wear gloves when we first start the car

I'm not too sure, but I'm 6'4" and don't fit back there period. Though my brother who's only 5'8 can fit perfectly fine behind my dad who's 6 feet tall.

A lot cooler
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:58 |

Yeah, V8 does have a special draw to it...
Haha I bet that was quite entertaining. Did it go something like this:
"AARRRGGGHHH!!!! BUT IT'S AN M3!!! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT!!! GERMAN ENGINEERING!!! RACE HERITAGE!!! M POWER!!! BMW!!! BMW!!! ULTIMATE DRIVING EXPERIENCE!!!! BLLAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!" *head explodes*
?
![]() 11/19/2014 at 16:59 |

I still don't see the problem with CUE. I've used it and it didn't seem anywhere near as terrible as everyone makes it out to be.
A lot of companies are going this route. I'm not too sure about it. I wonder if those gloves that you can use on smartphone screens would work on them?

I've heard good things. I just wish I could afford one. haha
I think my next car with have to be an American sedan or muscle, so the ATS line is a top contender.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 17:01 |
|
Surprisingly no, but one M3 owner was rather smug and said don't hate just because you can't afford it.
IMO, when you buy a BMW you accept the douchebag stigma that comes with the name. Especially for M cars.

I'm just worried about my shorties. Shouldn't be an issue. The V will still have 5 seatbelts, right? I love seeing family-man friendly options like this one pop up...
I like the idea of keeping my M3 for the long haul, but if that doesn't work out, it's nice to have other possibilities. SS with the manual and MagnaRide is also on the list. As is the M2, even with its tiny back seat.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 17:05 |

I'd guess if the normal sedan has 5 belts the V would too.
An SS would be roomier, but I really don't know how much longer that's going to be around. Unless they move production to the US and drop the LT1 in it, I predict it (sadly) going away in 2017.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 17:08 |
|
Yeah haha.
Funny thing is the ATS-V should be more affordable than an M3, since a CTS-V starts at $64.9k and the M3 Sedan starts at $62k.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 17:08 |
|
The coupe looks better. It's the color that really makes this one look extra great
![]() 11/19/2014 at 17:10 |
|
SS is quite a bit roomier, and quite a bit chunkier, but V8...
Not planning to buy any of them new, so I just need others to spec them like I want them and take good care of them for a few years - ha!
Sometimes the sporty versions lose a seatbelt, sadly. A7 - 5 belts, but S7, RS7 - just 4.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 17:39 |

But I'm 2 young and 2 sexy 2 have 2 doors 2 many!
Also this is now throwing a wrench into my car buying plans. Why do I want so much??
![]() 11/19/2014 at 17:47 |
|
Better because they dialed back the angry from the old CTS coupe which was NAILZ! to use some interwebs speak
![]() 11/19/2014 at 18:03 |
|
I'm sure they will as all they do is transfer the electricity from your body through the glove and onto the finger tips. The problem I had with CUE was that it was slow to react and it crashed on me when I took the ATS for a test drive

I was dead set on getting an ATS in 2 years when our Forester was paid off until a big dose of life came and hit me in the face. Now I have a house and kids are on the way in a few years. Suddenly we're selling our fancy turbo Forester and I find myself wondering what I can pick up for $7500 that will give me 75% of the thrill as an ATS

Welp. I have a boner now.
![]() 11/19/2014 at 18:31 |

Yes, a million times yes! Not even a crease or character line to break it up. The coupe looks like a tarted-up Cobalt coupe.

I love it, except for the seats made from Pauly D's face.
