Interesting bit of policy in TX regarding three wheeled vehicles.
Adding a wheel to a motorcycle (trike, Can-Am) makes it a motorcycle, but registering a three wheeled vehicle as a "motorcycle" has become a problem.
According to Texas....
I wonder what this means for the Morgan and the T-Rex?

Note, I didn't mention Elios. They actually need to make some before we can discuss it.

This doesn't have anything to do with Texas, but could you technically get away with lane-splitting a T-Rex in California?
Also, what does this mean for scooters? They have a seat instead of a saddle, but they've always been registered as motorcycles.

The lane splitting thing is an interesting discussion. Sure, it's probably legal, but you're going to piss a lot of people off.
I suppose they could change the law about lane splitting from "motorcycles" to "two wheeled vehicles" in the CA books to fix that.
Now, what about parking ? If you can't squeeze one of these into a dedicated motorcycle parking spot, are you still allowed to park there?

I suppose you might be, technically. But it's like with my grandma and her handicap placard; she CAN park in the blue spaces, but she never does unless the rest of the lot is full. Other people need those spaces more than she does. Just like two-wheeled motorcycles fit better than trikes do.

Mullet Trike" Yes (Audi V8 powered by the way)
Limo Trike? No

I want one of these so badly... Thankfully, I live in North Texas (Oklahoma).
