Do it. I traded my '10 3 for a '14 BRZ. I don't miss the Mazda. I thought that I would miss the trunk space and usable back seat, but it really hasn't been a problem at all.
EDIT - I should also note, that my gas mileage actually improved. Not sure if the '11 had the skiyactiv engines or not, but my '10 didn't.
