I have driven some sure, the Maybach, dad's Mercedes or his Omega, but I have never owned one.

i have never driven a rwd "car". My explorers were rwd but not "cars" and could be put into 4wd. The WRX is not rwd. everything else has either been fwd or 4wd trucks. I had the chance to drive an S2000 and I think that was largely because we were both drunk. I handed him the keys back before we even got in.

I'm looking into owning my first RWD vehicle, a Crown Vic since they're dirt cheap and mildly entertaining

'Straya.

You've driven a Maybach instead of sitting in the back, so I don't doubt you have questionable judgement around cars.

I've never owned AWD, but since I've owned RWD, classic 4WD, and FWD, it's mostly a footnote. More oddly, I've never owned anything with over six cylinders or more than 120hp, but that's on track to change when my project is finished. Drastically.

I've never owned one either...my only cars in the eleven years since I've gotten my license have been my Celica, my Bonneville, and my WRX.
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:27 |

I've never owned anything that wasn't. That'll change in a few days.

Guy at the dealership asked me if I wanted to drive it: shiny bits were distracting me so I said yes.

FWD Bonneville sounds so weird to me but yeah, I have owned my french cars and the Tribeca.
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:30 |

You should do it. If I lived in the US I would totally buy a Towncar.

up until a month ago, me neither

Question, does it snow where you live and if so how do you survive winter without RWD? If I couldn't slide I wouldn't be able to make it.
Confession of my own, I've never driven anything fast . I have driven my cars (SC400, Crossfire) fast, but they are relatively slow.

Come to think of it, my first and only car with over 160hp was the Tribeca which I still own, and my first car with more than 4 cylinders and AWD. What is your project?
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:32 |

I need this
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:33 |

Yup, FWD Bonneville.
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:34 |

Everything I've owned has been either FWD I4 >160hp or the Subie which was my first AWD, 6 cylinder 160hp+ car. S2000 drunk doesn't sound like much fun.
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:37 |

What did you buy?
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:37 |

I bet for the first 5 minutes or so it would be a blast. Everything after that would probably suck hardcore.
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:39 |

I've never owned a RWD only vehicle. Its harder to justify in Utah.

No, I live in south america so it's either hot or pleasant. And your cars aren't slow, I've owned french inline 4 my whole life 160hp at best, that is relatively slow. The fastest car I've owned is my Subaru SUV haha.

About the cars I've had or am getting?

Are getting.

First car was a barn-find 1996 Impala SS... Only RWD car I've owned, and undoubtedly my favorite. Crappy 90's interior, and questionable electronics, but far more entertaining than it had any right to be!
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:44 |

AW11 MR2! Also counts as my first mid-engine car and two-seater, and car with pop-up headlights!
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:44 |

I've only driven my dad's Towncar when he had one. Otherwise it was Suburban, F-150, Suburban, 9-3, Fusion, FoST. That doesn't include friend's vehicles or test drives, though. I did take an FR-S out but I only count things over an hour in seat.

Nope.

I've only owned RWD :D
But, I'll have 4WD soon.
I've driven more FWD vehicles than I have RWD though.

I'll just guess then. Lancia Thema with Ferrari V8

Holly Allah that seems awesome.
![]() 11/14/2014 at 13:57 |

That checks all the boxes! I will never own two seats, mid-engine AND pop-up headlights.

I'll turn you into a Newt

First cars are our best cars.

but Citroen makes that irrelevant.

Getting the Legacy??
![]() 11/14/2014 at 14:02 |

I'll get better.
![]() 11/14/2014 at 14:02 |

Should end up not much over 1100kg, with 250+hp, and better weight distribution than stock, with vastly improved handling. I'm planning to install hydraulic suspension mount adjustment, so it will be able to vary height 15cm or so without altering ride stiffness like airbags.
Other stray parts used, the grill from an earlier model:
and the taillights from a Cortina:
Alternate to this:

Me either...it's on my list though
![]() 11/14/2014 at 14:05 |

But you own the perfect vehicle so thats ok.
![]() 11/14/2014 at 14:10 |

Citroen is sick. I'm thinking about other cars...
![]() 11/14/2014 at 14:11 |

Same here, the one on the list is number 1
![]() 11/14/2014 at 14:11 |

Fine, burn me then.
![]() 11/14/2014 at 14:11 |

The only answer is another Citroen.

Wagon Citroen...
![]() 11/14/2014 at 14:13 |

Blazer 4x4.
Though the price on a Black Legacy GT keeps falling. If it gets to under $7k, I'll be looking at it.

DOOO IT
![]() 11/14/2014 at 15:01 |

Same here. I've only ever driven a few, mostly trucks.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 00:26 |

I don't know if a RWD biased 4x4 counts, but if it does, then I currently own a RWD biased 4x4
![]() 11/15/2014 at 13:46 |

I've owned 3 now; my Mustang, my Catera (Yeah yeah...I know.)and a old 67 Impala.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 15:14 |
|
I happen to actually like the Catera
![]() 11/16/2014 at 10:48 |
|
I actually loved it. It was the first car I owned that had RWD and traction control that I could turn off. Granted the Impala didn't have TC...but it was so heavy there was no 'dynamic driving' even possible. If the Catera could have had a more powerful engine...it would have been awesome. (yes, I'm insane, I know)

You've driven a Maybach? You're so lucky!!!!!
