Did you buy him a hammer as a present? He'd get it.

I changed jobs a few weeks ago, and found out during the last few days at that job that I had a coworker that was not only a "car guy", but builds race cars in the summer and drives rally in the winter. He's apparently planning on opening his own custom fabrication shop in the next few years. This guy drives a 700+ hp GTI; he himself installed the AWD system from a Golf R.
I wouldn't have stayed in that job, but it could have been fun to at least know the guy a bit better!

What a missed opportunity! About a month before I left my previous job as a retail manager, I found out that one of our recent hires, a generally quiet middle-aged woman, races Porches with her entire family. Husband, son, and daughter all build race cars, although she generally is just a spectator. She knew plenty though, and we had much to talk about.
