They can land a probe on a comet, but we are still using fossil fuels to power our cars? you would think they would of figured out a man made fuel by now.

You can exchange BMW drivers for college drivers though.

If you want to get philosophical, I'd argue that gasoline kind of is man made, as it's refined drastically from what actually comes out of the ground.

I'm sure you understood exactly what I meant. There must be a renewable resource we could use rather than oil that would be more abundant and easier to refine.

Actually "ford a river" is correct usage and a good pun.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_%28c…
fjord is u-shaped hole carved in rock from a glacier that forms a kind of river and is a bad pun.

this one had me laughing

Crude oil is quite abundant and relatively easy to refine; that's why gas/diesel engines are as common as they are. The problem is emissions and the potential that we might run out someday (this is debated).
With the success of Tesla and others, though, it looks like electric cars might be the way of the future.

Keyword in my earlier sentence being Renewable. But I like where tesla is going. If there was as many superchargers as there is gas stations it would be a totally viable option for everyone. For myself I could easily make due charging at home and not run out of juice. but you will always have someone that says they drive 1000 miles a day and it won't work for them.

It can be done. Hopefully with even more power potential

Isn't the Challenger/Charger platform nearly identical, as well as the engines? Wouldn't a manual be an easy thing for Chrysler to put in?
