Lots of curb rash on the one, which is why I decided to redo them. They're going to be white unless something goes wrong with the stuff.

They certainly do. Even bone stock, they can whip around on dirt roads without a problem. That's all I did over the weekends last semester.

Just one, but it's good for 5-10 square feet, and these are 13" hubcaps so it should work out pretty perfectly.

Dipped/painted steelies are so incredibly overplayed, and they were never cool to begin with. It only started because people were too poor to buy real wheels, so they decided that steelies are so super awesome and perfect just to make themselves feel better about it.

That's not to say they NEVER look good, but they're not THAT cool.

Yeah, the Plasti-Dip brand needs a lot for a perfect coat, I think. I got mine at Advance Auto Parts, and it's still called Plasti-Dip, even though it's not part of the brand, but it IS actually the original... I'm just as confused about that as anyone.

But anyway, it comes out a lot thicker (seriously, it hurls little chunks instead of a fine mist) so you don't need as many coats to get a solid color.

That said, I just ran out and it looks like a few spots are still a bit dark. :/ I may have wasted $7, but hopefully it will give me a good idea of the look so I can buy actual paint if I like it enough.

But they actually made them look good. I think people realized you don't need to spend $800 per alloy to have a nice looking set of rollers. And somehow it worked. It's definitely the poor man's option, but it's also a really sensible one.

That's the reason I didn't do mine yet. I don't have hubcaps though, so I can't be lazy. (except I am, because I didn't do it yet)
