You should see how bad they lose their shit when the weather's clear and the road is straight like they all are in Florida. I can't imagine what would happen if some freak of nature caused it to snow here. Most people would probably not leave the house, which means that it's AW11 rally time!

Ooooohhhhh, so you're on the edge of downtown, I take it? That's where I'm at. Gonna move a bit further out though. Hopefully I find a nice rent to own that's still near a brewery. Vivant is my second home and it's like a 5 minute walk from my place :)

That's true. It really sucks when the 1st snow is major and they don't have salt equipment out yet, and the ground is still warm so it melts and refreezes when it lands... then it's all mayhem everywhere. Took me about 4 hours to get home 12 miles once in a '1st snow' like that. It snowed about 2 inches at 2 in the afternoon and everybody "left work early" (right at the start of the storm) so the roads around Boston were all clogged and none of the plow/salt equipment could get through the traffic...

The worst thing was that I had driven my van to work that day and didn't have it's snow tires on yet (Chevy 1 ton old school van), so I sat through 2 traffic light cycles sitting in one place spinning the tires before it melted it's way through the ice enough to move forward. And this was on flat ground...
