I'm not worried about it. I do appreciate all the things I've been able to do up until now and I look forward to what is in the future. Most of all I appreciate my family and friends and the fact I get to do work that I enjoy. I was going to post something car related from November 13, 1974, or even from that year, but the pickings are slim, so enjoy a shot of one of my interests.

Happy birthday, bro. I just threw away two Ohio newspapers this morning from 1974. So, around this time... Xenia, Ohio, was still rebuilding after the world's worst tornado in the world. Ohio National Guard officers were preparing to defend themselves, sans rifles, in court over charges of aggravated assault in Kent, Ohio. Richard Nixon was enjoying the distraction as his underlings were being charged in break-ins and dirty dealings. Oh, and Hank Aaron had pulled even with Babe Ruth in all-time home runs. This of course was all back in spring.
Meanwhile (sadly?), my dad at some point around this time was buying a brand new shiny Pinto.

Happy birthday! Don't sweat it, 40 to (so far) 43 have been fun. The only downside has been exercise has been insufficient to stay in shape, which means paying more attention to inputs (eating). Otherwise it's nice being the person who is young enough to still go out and have fun but old enough that you aren't making the same mistakes over and over. Have fun!
