Ultimate vaporware?
Ultimate vaporware.

I don't consider the Speed 12 to be vaporware because they actually did build one.

Not really. This one actually exists after all.

True, but they never did put it into production.

Legendary anyway. Sometimes you have to build some crazy shit to prove it can be done. Hence: Veyron.

TVR built a few and it also went racing. I don't consider it vapourware.

True but one is better than none.

I love this quote:
Wheeler's dream of Speed 12s roaming the earth, putting the bite on XJ220s and F1s, never did come true, but Ben Samuelson, TVR's head of PR at the time, didn't see the endeavour as ill-conceived: 'Peter was never happier than when designing and building things with the quite brilliant engineers he surrounded himself with. The Speed 12 was the ultimate expression of this – a car whose only reason for being was because Peter could do it. And, yes, it really did blow up the dyno.'

I love trying to drive this thing all out in Fourza with no assists (seriously who uses assists?). If you can tame the Cerbera, you have truly reached the mountaintop.

My Cerbera Speed 12 is maxed out all the way in terms of power and top speed. That thing is absolutely BATSHIT INSANE!
I don't play with assists either, which makes it even crazier.

So powerful, it broke TVR's dyno.

I've got mine set up for R3 so it is somewhat driveable. Bootin up now to max it out and see if I can hang on. Got any good tunes for it?

There's a second one now too. Powered by a modified Aston Martin V12

Interesting. They must have put it together using old parts from the race cars.

I believe that's what they did. There was a thread on Pistonheads about it.

Very cool. I'd love to see the link if you have it.

Thank you.

Damn, I haven't played Forza 4 in a long time. I guess just my typical track tune, like a couple degrees more camber, slightly more pressurized tires, gear ratios that eliminate most wheelspin, etc.

I've seen it in person. It's amazing. I'll find the pics later.

Well these actually raced but they were quickly made obsolete by a change in regulations, and they decided that they were too crazy to make homologated versions (from TVR, of all people), so they just put together this bad boy from a bunch of race and road cars.
This and the Quattro S1, the best.
