Saw it last night, really a cool film. But I couldn't help but think...

I really want to see it. Sadly my house is full of folks who dislike scifi so its wait till DVD time.

That's my situation too. Can't convince anyone to go see it with me especially since its nearly 3 hours long.

That's really a bummer. Seriously, do whatever you can to see it on the big screen. The visual & audio impact is worth it. It'll still be great on DVD, but it will definitely lose something in translation.
Also, how can anyone dislike SciFi? That's just ridiculous.

I saw this film Sunday night. Absolutely loved it, and I want to see it again in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum IMAX, which it is playing at until January 5th.

you could go see it alone, I've done it before and after the initial weirdness is is arguably a purer experience as you are more focused on the film and what you think than the people around you and what they think, plus people won't be trying to talk to you throughout the movie.
