She backed into the garbage can. Although, everything is okay. It's not as bad as the time she backed into a brick wall! Also, the Leaf really needs a wash.

Indeed. Why don't bumpers work anymore? If I tapped, say, a building, I would be fine, but in a modern car, hell no.

True. The Citroën C4 Cactus could probably tap a building. But other than that, nope.

It's a good car for DD purposes. We've had it for 15 months now, I think it's over 14k miles. The acceleration is great, perfect for around town. I can't judge the steering because I haven't really driven it. The ride feels planted. The cabin is very well put together, nothing squeaks or rattles. I wish they offered different interior colors on the SL (which we have, leather). The interior is a sea of black. The front and rear seats are heated though. :) We bought it before the i3 was out, and a Model S would've been too long a wait. I think if the i3 was availible at the time we we're shopping we might've went with that instead. But, overall, a pretty okay everyday car.

My concern with the i3 is if it has similar engineering to the i8. With the i8, even something as simple as opening the hood is an exercise in ridiculousness. I realize there are less user-serviceable parts on something electric, but something as simple as filling up the washer fluid reservoir shouldn't require a trip to the dealership, or two people to do.

Yup. Also, I know someone who put a grand marquis wagon about 30 feet up a tree. The car survived!
