Perhaps this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! isn't for everyone. Yes it is beautiful, yes it is fast, and yes it is sonorous. But it has a mileage problems. No, not the usual case of too high mileage. It has 98 original miles on the odometer. That's not a typo. As a result, this $500,000 stunner is more of a museum piece than a driver's car's. Yo won't be able to enjoy rowing through the gears on that beautiful gated shifted and hearing that big 12 cylinder shriek and pop behind you. You'll be too busy worrying about screwing up your investment. Still, as art goes, this is a better half million dollar piece than some modern art. But, sooner or later, you will crack, and you will take this machine and drive it as God intended, forgoing your sub-100 mile conversation piece. It's your call to decide if this awesome time capsule to a more cocaine-y era is worth it.

Nope. Actual mileage.

That poor car. Even if it is a Ferrari, it still needs to be driven.
And honestly, the TR isn't a very good looking Ferrari to begin with. That either helps explain the lack of miles, or makes it even more insane anyone would buy one and hoard it in the first place.

Its not beautiful like the original 250 Testarossa, but it is certainly iconic.
I wonder what the story is behind it.

I don't know... it is a very beautiful museum-quality car but I'm leaning towards CP on this simply because this F40 didn't cost that much more, comparatively
![]() 11/09/2014 at 19:11 |

Does that have to do with the F40 being U.S. vs EU spec?

And there's the money shot. Damn.
Service history - none found.

It is probably still on its first tank of gas.

I was joking, but wow! Has it been it that collection the whole time? It's going to need those car moving skate things to avoid ticking over the 100, I mean just pushing it around will eventually add the miles.

That's the issue. At a certain point, there is such thing as too low mileage.

What kind of mileage are you gettin'?
No idea.

At least it won't burn if it's not started?

"Oh, about 4 years per gallon."

It's a Ferrari. It will find a way.

Yes, yes it will.

don't care, would still drive the shit out of it. The idea of buying a brand new 25 year old car (and a Testarossa of all things, hnnnng) really does something for me. Idk why, it would just be awesome knowing you're the first.

An F40 with that kind of mileage and condition in today's market would be over $1 Mil, no doubt.
