Thinking about getting an S2K, but I can only afford one car. Do you think it'll fare well in the midwest winter? I think I can rock the S2k with some winter tires. Used to have a crown vic with bald rear tires so I'm used to a slippery rear end. What do you think Oppo?

Definitely, with winter tires you should be straight. My friend lives in DC and does that. You might want to invest in a hardtop, and space may be a concern.

With winter tires? Hell yes. They're great cars.

Subjecting one to salt and sand would be cruel.

as an owner, they are remarkably capable cars. I needed something practical when I was two wheels only, and so it was my winter car for a while as well. more space in the trunk than you would expect, and a real Jekyll / Hyde personality. Keep the revs below 6k and it's a Civic, but from 6k - 9k, it's a screamer. It's tame enough down low that you could easily use it to teach someone to drive stick, but as you get to the limits, it does not suffer fools lightly.

To be honest, it seems a bit pricey for what it is. $9,800 is fair probably.

It looks like it needs both front and rear bumpers repainted, and the convertible top looks like it's on the way out. Honestly, I'd say that $9,800 is fair.
