Does oppo think this is a good idea? I have an 2006 Suzuki S40 and a 1984 XV1000.

This is the Wagoneer in question. Talked to him on the phone and he said he'd take $1800 for it.

Selling bikes is a no-no.

Thanks for the input, but can you explain your reasoning?

I was thinking it a good idea, I lust after full size jeeps and the bikes aren't really doing much for me? Care to explain why you are opposed?

Do it, do it now, but do you really have to sell the bikes? I don't know your budget, but price and truck looks good.

I'm a little tight on cash and the bikes aren't worth that much. I can probably pull it off just selling one of the bikes, but I'd need to borrow some cash from my mom.

Well, how much do you enjoy the bikes you own? If you love them then I'd hold on to them. If you feel like you'd be able to get more joy out of the Jeep than go ahead and sell. Or compromise and possibly sell one bike and get the Jeep and you'll have a bike you love and a Jeep you might love also.

The Suzuki is fun; it's nice idle along with a big torquey single cylinder, but I don't really enjoy the yamaha that much.

I've always been a Jeep man and I lust after full-size Jeeps, this is the best looking one I've seen at that price show up on CL and it is unmolested.

If I borrow some cash from my mom I can sell the yamaha, keep the Suzuki, and get the Jeep

If you are going to sell the bikes, buy something fun.

Then if you're able to I'd sell the Yamaha and get the Jeep. That way you have a Suzuki that you enjoy and a Jeep that you'll also enjoy. Also that way you'd have a bike for the days that you'd love to ride but wouldn't be able to had to sold both of the bikes.

Full size Jeeps aren't fun?

I already got my 72 Cutlass Supreme, which is really fun to drive.

I meant fun to drive haha

The closest thing to the bike experience in the car world is a convertible IMO.

There's something wrong with it.

Have you looked at it In person? It has rust, that scares me a bit.

These were notorious for frame rot as well as other cancers.

It has that blister on the rear fender, but the frame is solid as far as I can tell. It's very solid compared to the projects I've done in the past.

It's actually a 79; he has a typo in his ad.
